What They Are: As their name implies, audio study materials are multi-hour audio lectures by prominent law professors on given areas of law that, at their best, not only provide thorough narratives of a given area of law but also hypotheticals and exam tips. Audio study materials certainly cannot replace reading and briefing cases or outlining for exams. Yet they allow you to learn using your aural senses and at certain times of the day or night (like while driving or cleaning up the apartment) that may not otherwise be suitable for studying.
When To Buy: The best time to buy audio study materials is during the second half of a semester (October 1-December 15 in the Fall, or March 1-May 5 in the Spring) when you are trying to reinforce what you already are learning.
