What You Can Do
- Post stories with links that would be of interest to the law school community.
- Just 'lurk' and read other stories that people have posted.
- Unfortunately, as with most things in life there are a few limitations–please read the "What we can do" section
What You Should Do
- Look around before posting a story –– there may already be a post.
- Use a descriptive title that shows why the story would be of interest to the law school community.
- Include a link to the story and identify the source.
- Refrain from posting personal information about yourself or others (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers, etc.).
- Contact us if you need help posting a story, or if you have any suggestions for improving the news pages.
- Let us know if you spot an offensive thread or post.
What You Shouldn't Do
- Post copyrighted material, such as articles. It's illegal and we'll have to delete them. Post a summary and a link (URL) or citation instead.
- Post any test questions. That's also illegal and they will be deleted.
- Post any information that identifies a user, such as an email address, IM screen name, actual name, address, phone numbers, links to photos, etc.
- Offer anything for sale. We are not the classifieds and such a post will be deleted.
- Be mean or write abusive posts.
Post things just to provoke other people.
What We Can Do
- Delete posts and/or ban users that don't comply with the rules in the "What you shouldn't do" section.
- Help you with questions about the boards.
- Delete any posts that we think are inappropriate. We try to be as lenient as possible, but some topics just aren't suitable news for these pages.
What We Will Do
- Explain any deletion if you contact us privately about it.
- Respect your privacy if you contact us. (See "What we won't do")
What We Won't Do
- Give your e-mail address or other identifying information to anybody (including schools, parents, potential suitors, etc.). The only exception is if law enforcement officers or a court demands it. Don't worry, if you follow these rules that won't be a problem.
